Chad and Claire were struck by the unique landscape of the flooded lake and the intense crowds at the top of the massive El Peñol rock formation. They highly recommended staying a few nights in Guatapé rather than doing a day trip to fully enjoy the colorful atmosphere and mountain scenery. A standout moment for them was observing the nomadic vendors who hop on and off moving buses to sell snacks to passengers.
